Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ!
The Pentecostal church in our city, called the Sopron Evangelical Church, was founded in 1996 as a result of the collaboration and ministry of a young theologian and a Finnish missionary couple.
Over the past 29 years, various rented properties have been used as homes for our services and midweek events.
Friedhelm Holthuis, President of the German Pentecostal Association, at the September 2024 “It’s Time to Believe!” conference, we belive he had a prophecy for Sopron and the word of God encourage us through the prophetic message of Isaiah to seek a wide place for our tent, because we will spread out to the right and to the left, and the “offspring” will fill it. (Isaiah 54:2-3.)
Based on the above, we have a dream that our community can finally move into its own church property for its 30th anniversary.
A 232 sqm property has been vacant in the heart of the city center for 2.5 years. Given its location, it would be a great opportunity for our church and mission endeavors. We would transform and renovating it in two phases.
In the first phase, we would use the nearly 80 sqm foyer, the 21 sqm small hall and the service rooms for our church events. In the second phase, we could also develop the approximately 100 sqm worship hall.
As part of the building was once a café, we wouldlike to revive this function in the second phase for mission purposes, as a “Christian café” on the approx. 80 square meter foyer of the property.
Conveniently located in the city center, next to a popular park and playground, which is visited by many families and young people.
During the day, anyone could stop by for a tea, coffee, cookies, ice cream, take a sandwich to work, etc.
According to our plans, there will be worship songs playing in the background and Christian reading materials (magazines, books, etc.) from shelves. In the afternoons, we will organize podium discussions on interesting topics for different age groups, and in the evenings, unplugged music programs.
Due to the current financial resources of our church and the real estate prices in Sopron, it is truly a dream, but by God’s grace and with your support, nothing is impossible. Within the framework of an 8-month project, we would like to reach the point where the dream becomes a reality, and its financial resources are available to us for the glory of God.
We are grateful to God that He has kept our church until now, but now we have received from God that the appointed time has come for us to have our own church home.

In addition, following the example of Moses, David, and Ezra, we wish to turn to God’s people. We are looking for 3,500 fellow belivers in Hungary and around the World, younger and older, who see visions and dream dreams with us (Acts 2:17), who, moved by the Spirit, wish to support the dream of the Sopron Evangelical Church, the growth of the kingdom of God and at the same time the creation of our own church home in Sopron.
If the Spirit of God moves you to commit yourself as a financial supporter, you can do this in several ways:

- 12.5 Euro/USD per month for 8 months, or…
- 25 Euro/USD per month for 4 months, or…
- 50 Euro/USD per month for 2 months.
